Based on a true story.

20th December 1944.

Somewhere near Bastogne.

Clyde Anderson just arrived near the front line, at an advanced hospital post, near Bastogne.
He has no idea how to join his new affectation, so he decides to ask to a jeep driver to drop him to his new company.

Clyde is now on the front line, in the wood. He looks arround him trying to find the sergeant Hopkins but he doesn't know where to go. He asks several times without success but finally meets his new chief. Clyde is now taking place in his new foxhole.

A few hours later, Clyde receives the order to get ready to go in patrol.
During the patrol, we can feel that Clyde is frightened despite the fact that the soldiers told him that there is nothing to worry about.

The soldiers are now moving with care, two by two and tree by tree.

A soldier of the patrol is moving forward toward a tree to be abble to have a protection to cover the other. He is crossing and, suddenly, the hell is falling on the patrol...
