Two friends, one common interest.

 

We are used to make some short videos for events, weddings, company, but we decided to put our skills into a short film.

 

We are both passionate by the second World War and especially, as belgian guys, about the Battle of the Bulge. We read a lot of books about the subject and we are still learning every day about this dark period of time.

 

We decided at the beginning of the year to make our first short film, but we had no idea on what subject we would do it. After some brain storming, the World War 2 came up.

We started, few months ago, to writte the story, based on a true story from a book and at the same time, started looking for a location, background people and so on. As old reenactors, we contacted our last Reenactment group, the Duty First, may be one of the most dedicate group we know. This is the same group that made the huge reenactement battle in Recogne last year (2012) wich you can see on our youtube channel. We had no story written, but they know how we work and what we want to achieve, so they directly accepted and jumped into the journey.

 

As amateurs, we tought the group would be abble to act as actors. In fact, no one in the groupe speak fluent english, so we had to cast to find four actors capable of speaking english and act with emotion. We had such a good time to cast every single one of them, it was an amazing experience.

 

Scenario written, dialogues done, storyboard drawn, cast complete, location set found, background people ready, we are now waiting for the D-day.
